December #ReadPawty

Our next meeting will be December 13, 2010. That is the 2nd Monday of the month. I have created a tweetup so that we all can be reminded. Here is the url: http://twtvite.com/DecReadPawty2010

I have arranged for us to meet at the Missouri Botanical Garden. The welcome building is decorated to the nines with poinsettias, holiday train show, and they will let us tour the Linnea House which has tropical plants and flowers. It is spectacular, and I thought you might enjoy that.

Hope to see you all there!

October #ReadPawty Is Tonight!!!!!

We have 3 stellar books for tonight's discussion, "Julie and Julia", "Curiosity Killed the Cat Sitter", and "Homer's Odyssey". I feel that tonight is much anticipated since Homer and his human Gwen Cooper have been featured in a recent Animal Planet episode. I have contacted Gwen, but she is traveling today and is not sure that she will be able to participate. MizzBassie has reviewed "Curiosity Killed the Cat Sitter" for the Anipal times, and please give that a read because she is an excellent writer.

It has been suggested that we consider the questions on Gwen's website as a basis for our discussion. The link is: http://gwencooper.com/bookclub.php

Tonight our meeting is at 8 pm EDT, the hashtag #Readpawty.

Our next meeting in December will be on the 2nd Monday at 8 pm EST. The books are "Murder Past Due" (Cat in the Stacks Mystery) by Miranda James and "The Art of Racing in the Rain: A Novel" by Garth Stein. More details on the books can be seen on this blog. "Murder Past Due" has been reviewed in the Anipal Times.

I hope to see everyone at #ReadPawty!
